Walnut Cream Cheese Cake

  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 lb. cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts

    Preheat oven to 300°.

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

    Cream the butter while adding cream cheese, lemon rind and sugar. Beat until smooth. Beat in eggs.

    Gradually add dry ingredients, then stir in walnuts.

    Pour into 2-quart greased Bundt pan and bake 1 hour and 20 minutes.
