- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. (or more) walnuts or pecans
Directions

1Use wooden spoon for stirring.

2Mix sugar, milk, syrup and salt well before cooking.

3Cook over very low heat until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cool water.

4Set aside to cool until lukewarm (do not stir).

5When candy thickens, stir in vanilla and nuts and stir until candy turns creamy in color and holds shape when dropped onto wax paper.
