Walnut Honey Bread

- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. honey
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. walnuts, broken
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 egg yolks
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Butter and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. In a large saucepan, heat milk and add honey and sugar, stirring until sugar is melted and homogeneous, then cool.

3Mix in butter and egg yolks.

4Sift together flour, salt and soda then mix in thoroughly.

5Stir in walnuts.

6Pour into pan and let stand 20 minutes.

7Bake about an hour or until knife comes out clean.

8Cool in pan 10 minutes and turn out on rack to cool thoroughly. Wrap well and store.
