Walnut Macaroni Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 c. sliced celery
  • 1/2 c. sweet pickle relish or diced sweet pickles
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 3/4 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook macaroni until tender in salted water; drain and run cold water through it.

    Add celery, relish or pickles, onions and salt and pepper to taste.

    Add chopped walnuts.

    Mix mayonnaise, mustard and lemon juice.

    Add to salad and mix lightly.

    Chill. You may garnish with egg and walnut halves.
