- 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 c. ground walnuts
- 8 slices white bread
- 4 medium onions, chopped
- 3 tsp. sage
- 1 tsp. salt or to taste
- 12 eggs, well beaten
- mushroom soup
Directions

1Toast bread and roll into crumbs. Cook onions until clear in small amount of butter.

2Combine all ingredients except mushroom soup.

3Form into thin patties; fry slowly in oil for 30 to 40 minutes.

4Place patties in 1 large or 2 medium size casseroles. Cover with slightly thinned mushroom soup and heat in a 350° oven for 20 minutes.

5Serves 12.
