  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 20 ounces pineapple tidbits, do not drain
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 16 ounces sliced red beets, drained

Directions

    In a saucepan over med-low heat, melt butter; stir in brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and the juice/syrup ONLY from the pineapple tidbits.

    Cook and stir until thickened.

    Add in pineapple tidbits and beets.

    Gently stir and heat through.

    Serve.
