  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 12 cup granulated sugar
  • 12 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 12 cup toasted pecans, chopped

    Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

    Cream butter, sugars, egg and vanilla together thoroughly.

    Add flour mixture and beat until combined.

    Add chocolate chips and pecans.

    Shape dough into 4 rolls about 1 1/2 -inches in diameter.

    Wrap in waxed paper and freeze in plastic freezer bag or airtight container.

    Remove desired amount of cookie dough from freezer and allow it to set at room temperature for at least 15 minutes for easier slicing.

    Slice dough into 1/2-inch slices.
