- 2 cups cherries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
Directions

1Sift into a mixing bowl the flour, sugar, and baking powder.

2Add the milk and mix well.

3Add the melted butter and mix well.

4Pour the batter into a baking dish, then pour the cherries on top-juice and all.

5Bake in a 325 F oven for about 45 minute.

6When it is done, the cherries will be on the bottom and the batter on the top.

7You may add red cake coloring or almond extract to the cherries if desired.
