- 1 bunch celery, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1/4 c. blanched, slivered almonds
- bread crumbs
- butter
Directions

1Cook celery in broth until nearly tender, not soft.

2Thicken broth with cornstarch. Pour into casserole. Add chestnuts and almonds. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Dot with butter. Bake in 350° oven for 1/2 hour. Good with fowl or cold roast.
