Ingredients

  • 1 qt. milk
  • 4 c. bread chunks (can use stale wheat bread, oatmeal bread, raisin-cinnamon bread and white, mix 'em up)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/4 c. butter or oleo, melted
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg

    Scald milk.

    Pour over bread chunks.

    Add all other ingredients (butter the baking dish).

    Sprinkle some cinnamon on top. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes until crusty on top.
