  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. currants
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 level tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

    Rub butter and lard in like for pie crust. Add currants, eggs and milk, add more milk if necessary.
