Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. wheat germ
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2/3 c. honey
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. rye flour
- 1 c. wheat flour
Directions

1Soak oatmeal in 2 cups boiling water.

2Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.

3Add wheat germ, molasses, honey, egg and salt to oatmeal and water.

4Mix well.

5Add yeast.

6(Optional:

7Mix in 1 cup sunflower seeds.)

8Add rye flour and wheat flour to the mix. Add enough flour to make a kneadable dough.

9Knead.

10Let rise until double.

11Separate into 2 loaves.

12Let rise again.
-
13Bake at 450° for 15 minutes.

14Reduce oven to 350° for about 30 minutes.
