- 4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. warm milk
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
Directions

1Sift first 4 ingredients together in large bowl.

2Add shortening and blend well.

3Dissolve yeast in water and add to milk.

4Add to flour and mix to soft dough.

5Turn on board and knead until smooth, roll out and cut into biscuits.

6Brush with oil and put on cookie sheet.

7Let rise until double in size, about 45 minutes.

8Bake at 400° until golden brown.
