Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. bacon slices
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1/3 c. hot water
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3/4 c. catsup
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (15 oz.) can baked beans
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

Directions

    Set electric skillet at 340°.

    Cook and stir ground beef, onion, celery and green pepper until meat is brown and vegetables tender.

    Drain off excess fat.

    Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water.

    Stir bouillon and remaining ingredients into meat mixture. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

    Crumble bacon and sprinkle over beans.
