- 1 1/3 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. catsup
- 1tsp. garlic powder
- 3/4 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp. dried red pepper flakes
- 1 bay leaf
- 15 oz. can pinto beans, drained
- 16 oz. can kidney beans, drained
Directions

1Lightly fry bacon in a heavy 3-quart saucepan.

2Add onion; cook until transparent.

3Stir in remaining ingredients.

4Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes or until lentils are tender, stirring once or twice.

5Remove bay leaf before serving.
