  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 c. light brown sugar, sifted

    Heat oven to 250°.

    Lightly grease cookie sheet with unsalted shortening. Mix nuts in flour. Beat egg whites to soft peaks; add sugar slowly beating until stiff. Fold nuts and flour into beaten egg whites. Drop mixture by teaspoons about 1 1/2-inches apart onto cookie sheet. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool slightly before removing cookies to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
