Whip Cream Pound Cake

  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. sifted cake flour
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating real good after each egg. Add flour and cream, alternating, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla. Pour into a well-greased tube pan. Place in a cold oven. Set oven at 300° for 30 minutes. Then turn to 325° for 45 minutes. Do not open oven during cooking. Cool slightly before removing from pan.
