  • 3 c. warm water
  • 6 Tbsp. shortening, melted
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 6 c. flour

Directions

    Mix yeast and sugar.

    Add warm water.

    Add flour and salt, working as much flour in as needed to make a smooth dough.

    Put in a large greased bowl and let rise 20 minutes.

    Punch down and let rise again until doubled.

    Make into loaves and let rise again. Bake in a 375° oven until done.
