  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cream sugar and Crisco.

    Add buttermilk, egg whites and vanilla.

    Mix dry ingredients and add to mixture. Pour in greased cake pans and bake at 350° for 25 to 35 minutes.
