- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. flavoring
- 4 egg whites (unbeaten)
Directions

1Stir flour, sugar and shortening together.

2Add milk and flavoring.

3Beat vigorously for 2 minutes.

4Add unbeaten egg whites and continue beating 2 more minutes.

5Batter will be thin. Bake in 2 (8-inch) greased and floured pans in 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

6Ice with favorite icing.
