  • 1 c. white chocolate
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 2 1/2 c. flour

    Melt white chocolate in microwave; let cool slightly.

    Cream butter and sugar until light.

    Add chocolate.

    Then add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

    Sift dry ingredients and add to egg mixture, alternating with buttermilk.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour for angel food pan or 40 minutes for layered (three 9-inch round pans).
