  • 1/4 lb. white chocolate, melted over hot water
  • 1 c. butter or oleo
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 2 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder, sifted with flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. coconut

Directions

    Cream butter, sugar, chocolate and eggs, one at a time.

    Add vanilla, salt, flour, baking powder and buttermilk.

    Stir in nuts and coconut. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes for layers, 75 minutes for tube pan. Grease and flour pan.
