  • 2 cans chopped clams (Snows)
  • 8 cloves of minced garlic
  • olive oil (enough to coat bottom of 4qt saucepan)
  • tablespoon of basil
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • pinch of red pepper flakes
  • parmesean cheese if desired
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley

Directions

    Pour olive oil to coat bottom of 4 qt saucepan. Heat on med high. Mince garlic and toss into hot oil. Turn heat to low and stir constantly until softened but do not allow to brown. Add contents of 2 cans chopped clams. rinse can with tbsp of water to get all pieces of clams, and add to pot. Add basil, oregano and red pepper flakes. Stir to mix and let simmer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile cook lb. of linguini to desired doneness. Serve in pasta bowls, using ladle to cover pasta with sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese if desired.
