- 1 Tbsp. plain gelatin
- 1/4 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 c. boiling water
- 3 egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 egg yolks
Directions

1Mix gelatin with cold water.

2Mix in boiling water.

3Let stand until stiff.

4Beat egg whites, sugar and lemon juice.

5Add to gelatin and chill.

6Boil milk, sugar, vanilla and egg yolks.

7Cook custard mixture over medium heat until thick.

8Let cool.

9Serve. Put gelatin mixture into sherbet glasses and pour custard over mixture.
