- 2 c. boiling water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 8 c. bread flour
- melted butter
Directions

1Mix first 4 ingredients; let cool to lukewarm.

2Combine next 3 ingredients and let rise.

3Combine the 2 mixtures and add 2 eggs, then add flour, 4 cups with a mixer and 4 cups with hands.

4Cover and let stand in refrigerator at least 3 hours.

5Remove, punch down and make into 4 equal loaves.

6Place in greased pans.

7Cover and let rise 2 hours.
-
8Bake 30 minutes at 375°.

9Brush with melted butter when done.
