- 3 c. white flour
- 3 c. whole wheat flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 c. milk
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. margarine
Directions

1Combine flours.

2In a large bowl, mix thoroughly flour mixture, sugar, salt and undissolved yeast.

3Combine milk, water and margarine in saucepan.

4Heat over low heat until liquids are very warm (120°).

5Margarine does not need to melt.

6Gradually add to dry ingredients and stir for 2 minutes.

7If needed, stir in additional flour to make a stiff dough.

8Turn onto a lightly floured board.

9Knead until smooth (8 to 10 minutes).

10Cover with plastic wrap and clean dish towel.

11Let rest for 20 minutes.
