  • 1 c. all-purpose white flour
  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 c. Karo molasses

Directions

    Blend all dry ingredients.

    In separate bowl, mix honey, molasses and buttermilk.

    Add dry ingredients gradually, beating well.

    Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.

    (Batter will be stiff.) Place in preheated 400° oven and immediately reduce to 350°.

    Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes.

    Turn out on rack.
