Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 c. water
- 3 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 2 1/2 c. unbleached flour or whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. oil
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water containing molasses.

2Let set while you prepare the other ingredients.

3Add oil and salt to yeast mixture.

4Gradually add flours into yeast mixture to make a soft dough.

5Turn out on floured surface and knead approximately 200 times until smooth and elastic.

6Place in greased bowl; grease top and cover.

7Let rise until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.

8Punch down, cover and let rise 10 minutes.

9Shape into rolls and place on greased baking sheet.

10Grease top, cover and let rise until doubled, 45 minutes.

11Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes until nicely browned.

12Makes 3 dozen.
