Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. chuck beef
  • 3 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • dash of Tabasco
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 large white potatoes
  • 4 whole small onions
  • 3 large carrots
  • 1 tsp. beef bouillon concentrate or 2 cubes

Directions

    Cut beef into cubes, 1 to 2-inches across.

    In a pressure-cooker or a sizable pot that can be closely covered, put the water, salt, pepper, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and beef bouillon.

    Bring to boil; add meat and boil over medium-high heat until tender.

    Add potatoes, onions and carrots.

    Cook until tender.

    Serve with buttered bread or biscuits.
