  • cleaned and dressed turkey, with skin on
  • lemon butter
  • salt
  • coarse black pepper
  • 12 oz. cranberry juice, apple cider or beer

Directions

    Brush bird with lemon butter and season with dry spices inside and out.

    Place bird in roasting bag.

    Pour juice into cavities and tie bag loosely.

    Insert thermometer into meatiest part of thigh.

    Bake at 225° until temperature reaches 180°.

    The sweetness of the juices will affect the sweetness of gravy.
