- 3 oz. salt pork, cubed
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 rib celery, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. potatoes, diced
- 2 c. canned chicken broth
- 2 c. cream-style corn
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. butter
- salt and white pepper to taste
Directions

1Fry the salt pork until brown.

2Add the onion and saute over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring often.

3Add the celery, potatoes, chicken broth and 1 cup of water and simmer until the potatoes are done.

4Add the corn and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Heat the milk and butter and add to the soup.

5Add salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.

6Serves 6.
