- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 5 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. sweet wine
- 1 egg white
- chopped walnuts
Directions

1Mix together the butter or margarine, sugar and egg yolks. Beat until light and fluffy.

2Add flour and salt with wine alternately.

3Mix and chill.

4Roll out a floured board and cut into 2-inch rounds.

5Brush with slightly beaten egg white and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.

6Bake at 325° for about 10 minutes. Cool.

7Makes about 8 dozen.
