- 5 or 6 large potatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. cubed Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. minced white onion
- 1 can golden mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. white cooking wine
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Pare and slice potatoes; arrange half the slices in a greased casserole.

3Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle 1/2 of the cheese and 1/2 of the onion over the potatoes. Spoon 1/2 of the soup over top, then pour 1/2 of the wine over the soup.

4Repeat layers; cover casserole.

5Bake for 1 hour.

6Remove cover; bake 15 minutes longer.
