- 1 medium potato
- 1 cake or 2 envelopes yeast
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 c. flour
Directions

1Cook 1 potato in 2 1/2 cups water; drain potato.

2Let cool and add remaining ingredients.

3Put in large bowl and keep in refrigerator taking out enough dough each time to make the number of biscuits desired.

4Brush with butter and let rise 1 hour before baking at 450°.
