  • 2 eggs
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 6 c. plain flour (all-purpose)
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

    Beat eggs well.

    Add dry yeast (dissolved in 1 cup warm water).

    Mix well.

    Add sugar, Crisco and salt.

    Mash together well.

    Add boiling water; mix this.

    Add flour and mix well. Place in pre-oiled large bowl.

    Let rise 3 hours.

    Knead real stiff on floured board.

    Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness.

    Let rise for 1 hour.

    Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes, until light brown.
