- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. water (105~ to 115~)
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. buttermilk, heated to 90~ to 100~
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients together; add margarine.

2Blend with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add yeast and buttermilk.

3Mix and add more flour, if necessary to make soft dough.

4Knead about 30 strokes.

5Roll out 1/2 inch thick; cut out with a 2 to 3-inch cutter and bake at 450° until brown.

6Dough will keep covered in refrigerator 4 to 6 days. Knead all the dough down each time some is used.
