Ingredients

  • 5 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in 4 tablespoons warm water. Sift dry ingredients together. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well. Roll out on floured surface. Cut out biscuits.

    Bake at 400° until brown in ungreased pan. Dough may be stored in refrigerator for several days.
