- 1 yeast cake
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening

13Grease lightly. Allow to rise in a warm place (80°) until doubled in bulk. This will require about 2 hours.

16Mold into loaves and let rise about 1 hour. Bake at 380° until done.
