- 11 c. all-purpose flour (approximately)
- 3 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3 3/4 c. milk
- 3/4 c. sugar plus 1 tsp.
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. ???
Directions

1Heat milk (scald); set aside.

2Mix 1/2 cup warm water and yeast with 1 teaspoon of sugar; set aside.

3Mix milk and shortening until shortening softens and melts, then add sugar and beaten eggs.

4Sift 3 cups flour and salt; add to mixture.

5Add yeast mixture and mix well.

6Add remaining flour until dough is okay to knead.

7Knead until dough is not sticky, about 10 to 15 minutes.

8Place in large, greased bowl; turn dough over.

9Cover with lid or towel.

10Don't put it near a draft.

11Let raise until dough doubles.

12(You can let raise until dough doubles again if you need the time.)
