- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. salt
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- flour (enough to make dough stiff)
Directions

1Mix the yeast mixture, salt, butter, eggs and sugar.

2Add flour to make stiff dough.

3Let rise for 7 hours.

4Roll out and cut doughnuts.

5Let rise 40 minutes.

6Drop into hot oil and cook until golden brown. Dip into a glaze of powdered sugar and enough water to make a syrup. Always cool standing up sideways.
