Ingredients
- 1 pkg. RapidRise yeast
- 5 1/2 c. flour (may need to use more)
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. warm potato water
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add salt, eggs, mashed potatoes, milk and the potato water.

3Mix well.

4Measure flour and RapidRise yeast in bowl.

5Add the flour mixture to first mixture.

6Knead well.
-
7Allow to rise until double in bulk.

8Roll out dough on floured surface, cut doughnuts and place on trays.

9Let rise until not quite double.
-
10Fry in hot shortening.

11Drain on paper towels. While still hot, these may be dipped in glaze.
