- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. shortening (Crisco)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 yeast cakes
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 6 c. unsifted flour
- 1 c. cold water
Directions

1Add Crisco, sugar and salt.

2Pour boiling water over mixture. Blend and cool.

3Add eggs.

4Put yeast cakes in cold water for 5 minutes.

5Refrigerate for 4 hours after cutting out.

6Then let rise for 3 hours. Keeps for 10 days.
