  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Combine all ingredients.

    Knead as though making biscuits. Roll to 1/2-inch thick.

    Cut with biscuit cutter and place on greased baking sheet.

    Dot with butter and let stand 30 minutes. Bake at 400° until brown.
