- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

2Add sugar.

3Beat egg.

4Add shortening and milk with yeast, sugar and egg.

5Add flour.

6Turn dough onto floured board.

7Make dough into rolls.

8Place rolls onto greased pan.

9Let stand 2 to 4 hours.

10Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

11Top with melted butter.
