Ingredients

  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 c. bread flour

Directions

    Mix all ingredients; let rise for 2 hours.

    Knead down into rolls in a greased pan.

    Let rise 1 hour.

    Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

    Once out of oven, put butter on top of rolls.

    Makes 16 to 20 rolls.
