- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. melted shortening
- 3 c. plain flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add egg, warmed milk, sugar and salt.

2Mix well, then add flour and shortening.

3Use enough flour to make stiff dough.

4Place in large bowl and let rise double in bulk.

5Work down and form into rolls.

6Let rise again until doubled.

7Bake at 400°.
