- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 7 c. flour
Directions

1Put yeast in 1/2 cup warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar.

2Melt shortening.

3In large bowl, beat egg, sugar and salt.

4Add warm melted shortening, water and flour.

5Then add yeast mixture.

6Mix good with spoon.

7Butter or grease batter and let rise in bowl. Let rise about double the size.

8After it rises, sift enough flour on top to make it easy to make the rolls.

9To make rolls, just pinch off enough dough to make a roll and put them in a greased pan and put melted butter on top.

10You may refrigerate leftover dough.
