- 6 c. plain flour
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Mix egg and sugar together and beat.

2Sift flour and salt together.

3Make a hole in flour and add shortening.

4Add sugar and egg.

5Add 2 cups water.

6Mix well.
-
7Add yeast mixture.

8Put in refrigerator; cover with wet towel.

9Use as needed (will keep three days).

10Roll out and let rise to double in size.

11Bake at 400°.
