- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 6 c. flour
Directions

1Mix warm water and yeast together; let stand.

2In medium saucepan melt butter.

3Add sugar, milk and salt.

4Heat until warm, not hot.

5Add yeast mixture to milk mixture in a large bowl.

6Add egg.

7Beat in 3 cups flour until smooth.

8Add 3 more cups flour. Pour on pastry cloth and knead 5 to 8 minutes.

9Let rise until double in size.

10Knead again, make rolls and put in greased pan. Let rise; bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
