- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. fat
- 6 to 7 c. flour, sifted
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Scald milk.

3Add sugar, salt and fat.

4Cool to lukewarm.

5Add 2 cups flour; beat well.

6Add enough of the remaining flour to make soft dough.

7Turn out on floured board and knead until dough is smooth.

8Place in lightly greased bowl.

9Cover, put in refrigerator.

10When rolls are wanted, take out and punch down.

11Mold into desired shapes.

12Place on greased pan. Let rise until double, 1 1/2 hours.

13Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
